Platform

When the internet drops, the lights should not

Why every Takkah installation processes locally first — and what the cloud is actually for.

A smart building that stops being smart when its internet link fails was never really smart. It was remote-controlled.

Local first

Every sensor, controller and gateway we install reports into the same fabric, but decisions are made as close to the device as possible. Edge controllers keep scenes and safety logic running even when the internet link drops: the corridor still lights when someone walks in, the leak sensor still closes the valve, the door still recognises its resident.

What the cloud is for

The cloud does the work that genuinely benefits from distance: remote access for operators, firmware updates that keep the technology current rather than frozen at handover, and long-term reporting across a district. It is hosted with regional data residency, so the data about a Saudi city stays in the region.

Technology kept current, not frozen at handover.

The result is a platform that degrades gracefully. Lose the link and the building carries on; restore it and the reports, updates and remote views catch up.
